Santosa Yoga is experienced in holding a variety of themed retreats. Topics have included Chakra Exploration and Balancing Retreat, Yoga and Meditation in Response to a Troubled World, Filling your Cup - A Women’s Retreat, The Yoga of Parenting, Retreat to Balance, amongst other themes.
We also create bespoke retreats that fit your time and interests with a group of friends, colleagues or family members. Please contact us for more information.
Retreats in the past have generally include the following (but online variations can be created and adapted to your needs):
*A beautiful location by the beach or surrounded by forest. We have a few preferred retreat centers that we like to use, but we are also happy to get creative
*Healthy food usually vegetarian and with a Puerto Rican influence. We can usually accommodate special diets.
*Yoga practice and workshops which can include a selection of hatha, restorative and laughter yoga as well as inversion, balancing or partner workshops
*Breath work and guided meditation to help you deepen your practice.
*Yoga philosophy that we make relatable to every day life. We offer tools on how you can utilize themes to make life go more smoothly
*Journaling to practice some of the yoga philosophy ideas and to help incorporate them into your life
Other options that can be incorporated into our retreats:
*A hike to a beautiful location usually along a river or to a cave. An opportunity to spend time in nature and to explore the beauty of Puerto Rico
*Voluntary work giving back to Puerto Rico through help on an organic farm, beach clean up or other voluntary work to help individuals or families in need
*Massages, Reiki, Accupuncture and other self care options to help you to relax and heal
*Speakers or presentations on subjects that can range from cooking demonstrations to talks on Puerto Rican history or current affairs
